Dear Testis Researchers,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 22nd European Testis Workshop, this time in Switzerland! This ETW has been selected as an EMBO Workshop and will also be held jointly with the 2nd annual ANDRONET meeting. ANDRONET is a COST Action that aims to stimulate research collaboration, education and public awareness in andrology.

After the past few years of the COVID-19 pandemic and the enforcement of health safety measures, most scientific conferences have become virtual. However, the 22nd ETW is designed to be a traditional, on-site-only conference. We aim to promote interaction in a relaxed atmosphere that facilitates research exchanges and fosters serendipitous encounters between sessions, which spark many collaborations at the ETW.

For this purpose, we have chosen an intimate and pleasant hotel, the Palace de Caux, which has been reserved exclusively for the ETW during the conference duration to offer all participants the best environment to discuss science and socialize. The Palace de Caux, near the city of Montreux on the Swiss Riviera, is also secluded, which will allow the ETW participants to interact in a preserved environment.

The 22nd European Testis Workshop features outstanding speakers. They are world-renowned academic researchers and clinicians who have made significant contributions to reproductive biology and medicine. Our goal is to highlight cutting-edge basic, applied and clinical science research in the areas of male reproduction in animal models and humans. This includes topics ranging from meiosis to sperm and ART, from somatic cells to endocrine disruptors and reproductive epidemiology, and from epigenetic regulation of spermatogenesis to paternal programming and genetics of infertility.

The ETW also prides itself in many unique scientific and social traditions. Following our tradition, participants’ posters will be presented in the format of flash talks in one of the 12 symposia. At the gala evening, we will enjoy jokes, sketches, songs and games performed by teams of different nationalities.

It is our hope that the 22nd European Testis Workshop at the Palace de Caux will deepen your knowledge, facilitate the exchange of ideas, stimulate collaborations and, last but not least, create a relaxed atmosphere for catching up with old friends and making new friends.

Welcome to Switzerland. Have a great meeting and join the ETW community!
