All presentations, including plenary lectures, short talks or miniposter talks (i.e., flash talks) will be held exclusively in live format. No recording or on-line connection will be provided.

Invited Speakers

Plenary lectures from invited speakers consist of a 25 minutes talk with a 20 minutes presentation and 5 minutes discussion


Miniposter Talks

Selected miniposters will be presented in 3 minutes flash talks, each has with 2 additional minutes for discussion.  


Short Talks

Some miniposters will be selected for a 10 minutes talk with a 5 minutes discussion. Selection criteria include scientific quality, novelty and topic.


Miniposters

Miniposters must strictly follow the guidelines below. Submissions inconsistent with the guidelines will not be considered.

Submission deadline: March, 31st, 2023

Submitted miniposters will be evaluated by the local scientific committee. Applicants will be informed of acceptance in due course.

Miniposters will only be considered for presentation and included in the final program upon confirmation of the presenter registration until March, 31st, 2023 (early bird registration deadline).

Each participant can only submit one miniposter as the first/corresponding/presenting author. However, miniposter submission as a co-author is not limited. Rules for miniposter formatting below apply to both cases.

Selected miniposters will be presented in respective symposia, determined by the local organizing committee, in 3-minute flash talks. Each presentation can have a maximum of 6 slides including the acknowledgment. Slides for presentation must be sent to the local organization committee (contact@etw2023.org) no later than the day before the presentation. Please use exclusively a Powerpoint (.ppt) format.

In addition, a small number of the miniposters will be selected for a 15-minute oral presentation (10-minute talk plus 5-minute discussion) by the local scientific committee. The authors will be notified by email in advance.

Guidelines for Miniposters:
  • Page layout: A4 (210 × 297mm) with minimum margins of 1cm
  • File type: PDF file with a maximum size of 1Mb (01 page only)
  • Content: Miniposters should include the following information.
  • Mandatory: (1) Introduction/background; (2) Methodologies; (3) Results; (4) Discussion; Optional: (1) References and sources of project funding are not mandatory but can be included; (2) Contact email of the presenting author.
  • Authors’ names: Authors names should be formatted as: Last name, First name (e.g: Chaplin, Charlie; Bellucci, Monica; Benigni, Roberto; Cruz, Penélope; Almodóvar, Pedro;…). Lower cases should be used except for the first letters. The presenting author’s name should be underlined. When the same author is present in different posters, the formatting must remain consistent.
  • Affiliation: Affiliation (Institute/Center/University) should follow the authors’ name. Appropriate logos may be used.
  • Additional tip: We strongly advise the use of light colors for the miniposter background.
