The Palace de Caux is located 400m above the city of Montreux on the Swiss Riviera. The palace is both close to the city of Montreux and secluded, which will allow ETW participants to interact in a preserved environment. Since Caux is situated at 1’050m above sea level, it can get chilly quickly even in June on a cloudy or rainy day. Please note that there are no shops or restaurants in Caux. To access shops or restaurants, we recommend a short trip down the mountain to Glion or Montreux by train.

Palace de Caux

Caux’s train station is situated right next to the Palace de Caux. Caux is located 65km from the Geneva Airport and can be reached within an hour and a half by car or by train from Geneva, which runs every hour from the Geneva Airport with a stop at the Geneva station (Geneva Cornavin) in between. From Zürich, Caux can be reached in three and a half hours from the Zürich Airport by car or train, the latter also runs every hour. For those who wish to come by car, free parking spots are available.

We highly recommend that you travel by public transportation as parking spaces are limited.

Arriving from Geneva Airport (strongly recommended): Take the train directly to Geneva Airport station and head towards Geneva-Lausanne-Montreux. At Montreux station, get off and take the train to Caux station. The palace is located 30m from the station.

Arriving from Zürich Airport (not recommended): Take the train directly at the Zürich Airport station toward Lausanne. In Lausanne, change to train going toward Montreux. At the Montreux station, get off and take the train to Caux station. The palace is located 30m from the station.
